MAISONS-LAFFITTE RACECOURSE
The fair and diverse Maisons-Laffitte racecourse is one of the most important testing grounds in the area. Situated 15 km outside Paris on the Seine border in a wooded park, it is the only flat racecourse in the region where horses can run right as well as left-handed. Its 2200 meter grass straight is the longest straight in Europe. Covering 70 hectares, it is the largest racecourse in the Paris region.
It is open from April to November, offering several meetings with group races, including the Prix Robert Papin, the Prix Messidor and the Prix Eugène Adam. The racecourse plays host to three major events: the spring festival, the picnic meeting and Racing’s open day in autumn. These events always include a number of activities and themed spectacles for visitors, big
